So what is graphic design? Is it art or "just" craftsmanship? Well this is it: an arrangement of letters, words, sentences and other visual elements on a restricted area. To me the border between art and design is blurred.
But when I am designing covers for books etc it almost always means trouble, because other people (the editor, the author, the publisher) must have their say on the product. Most often trouble means good fun trouble but sometimes it means bad trouble. When I am doing my art work no one bothers me about colors or what things should really look like. Ä= School subjects B:Good manners, culture. There really isn't any english word for the concept "bildning".
